Joy Noir Phillips
Joy Noir Phillips was born in rural Madison county Arkansas where dirt roads and rotary phones still exist. And gathering eggs, feeding calves and snapping beans were a part of everyday farm life.
Since childhood, oils have been Joy’s beloved medium of preference. But as her artistic boundaries expanded, so did the materials and tools used. From pencil drawings, she stepped out of the real world into a virtual environment thru the use of drafting software. After all, experimenting is part of her process.
So, storytelling with ordinary words on paper through artful expressions is yet another artful evolution. Simple put her, tradesperson-artist, portfolio encompasses...
Farm-raised to virtual reality.
